PSG does breast milk science

Babies. Exciting. Inspiring. Privilege. Happy. Boobs. Empowering. Just some of the words used to describe taking part in Breastfeeding Older Babies and Beyond (BOBAB) and UK Breastfeeding and Parenting Support (UKBAPS) PSGs #breastmilkexperiment.

These 2 Gangs wanted to know what’s in breast milk for older children. They collaborated with Dr Natalie Shenker (Hearts Milk Bank) and Dr Simon Cameron (Imperial College) and oversaw 117 mothers coming together at Imperial College to express and donate breast milk for the experiment. You can read more about the day or check out #breastmilkexperiment for tweets about the preliminary results.

See more on the experiment, how mothers felt taking part and what some of their older children feel about breastfeeding by clicking on the posters that they made for our Final Event at the end of last year.  #parentsdoscience
